Shawanang is a Kachin artist and illustrator based in Myitkyina, Kachin State, Myanmar. In addition to comics, he does pencil and pen illustrations and acrylic paintings that seek to bring to life the feelings, emotions and daily struggles of Kachin, including those affected by civil war and other hardships. He is the founder of the Mahkret Comic Team, the first online forum highlighting Kachin traditions, stories and issues.
  
Shawanang သည် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၊ ကချင်ပြည်နယ် မြစ်ကြီးနာမြို့တွင် အခြေစိုက်သည့် ကချင်လူမျိုး ပန်းချီနှင့်သရုပ်ဖော် အနုပညာရှင်တစ်ဦးဖြစ်သည်။ သူသည် ရုပ်ပြများသာမက ခဲပန်းချီများ၊ acrylic ပန်းချီကားများ ရေးဆွဲခြင်းဖြင့် ကချင်လူမျိုးတို့၏ နေ့စဉ်ဘဝရုန်းကန်မှုများ၊ စိတ်ခံစားချက်များ၊ ပြည်တွင်းစစ်နှင့် အခြားခက်ခဲမှုများ၏ သက်ရောက်မှုများကို ဖော်ထုတ်သူ ဖြစ်သည်။ ထို့ပြင် ကချင် ရိုးရာဓလေ့များကို ထင်ရှားပေါ်လွင်စေရန် အွန်လိုင်းဖြင့် စုစည်းထားသည့် “Mahkret” ရုပ်ပြအဖွဲ့၏ တည်ထောင်သူ တစ်ဦးလည်းဖြစ်သည်။
