Citizens, Convene!: Free and Fair Elections for Southeast Asia Event Recap
We hosted our first-ever Citizens' Convene in November 2023, which was centered on the topic of free and fair elections for Southeast Asia. This brand-new format from New Naratif is a space where everyone can come together to develop, debate, and discuss the problems and solutions that face Southeast Asian democracy.
Elections are the gateway to democracy for the masses. But ensuring that our voice creates the changes we want is difficult, especially in Southeast Asia where elections are frequently unfair and designed to favour some candidates over others.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
