MFN Digital Security Training: Introducing Digital Hygiene and Information Security

28 July @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

The Media Freedom Network (MFN) is a solidarity network for freedom of expression movements in Southeast Asia.

Digital hygiene is the first line of defence against digital security threats. As digital technologies develop, more digital threats emerge, including malicious emails, phishing, and hacking. Unfortunately, to keep our devices and ourselves safe, there aren’t any one-size-fits-all tools that would always work for everyone and everywhere; are fair and just; and protect us at all times. What we use to protect ourselves greatly depends on our risk assessment and threat analysis.

How can we practise better digital hygiene, especially in the context of Southeast Asia? What tools can we use to protect ourselves based on our risks and potential threats?

To answer your burning questions, do join the MFN Digital Security Training: Introducing Digital Hygiene and Information Security on July 28th from 4:00 to 5:30pm MYT. This event will be conducted in English.

This event is supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and is by invitation only.
